-a studio artist and educator living and working in Cape Girardeau MO, she grew up in central IL. She received a BA in theater, and worked as a costume designer for years. When she moved on, she studied painting and sculpture, receiving a BFA from Western Illinois University, and then an MFA in sculpture from Indiana University in Bloomington. Her studio work explores and visualizes personal experiences, identity, memory and humanity through clothing and domestic objects. She fetishizes labor, the ordinary, and wear and tear. She hopes to connect the viewer to themselves in her works by giving them space in her quiet constructions to remember and to reflect.
